Seattle Symphony Launches Mobile Website and Apps for iPhone and Android

The Seattle Symphony launches three new online platforms: a mobile version of the Orchestra’s website (; and applications for both iPhone and Android mobile devices. Through these three online tools, patrons will be able to easily purchase concert tickets and explore upcoming performances — all while on the go!

The intuitive menu on the iPhone and Android applications includes an easy ticket-purchase interface; full performance calendar; up-to-the-minute details about concert promotions; information about Benaroya Hall and nearby dining options; easy access to the Seattle Symphony’s Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts; and other in-depth and behind-the-scenes news and information about the Symphony’s 220 concerts each season. Patrons who purchase tickets through the iPhone and Android applications will be able to scan the e-ticket on their mobile devices for entrance to the concert.

“So much of what is going on at the Symphony this season is about engaging in deeper and more efficient ways with our patrons, and this is another important step on that journey,” said Seattle Symphony Executive Director Simon Woods. “These new platforms will not only provide a streamlined path for customers — from finding out about a concert right through to taking their seats at Benaroya Hall — but will also allow them to engage with the Symphony in new and exciting ways.”
